These wonderful condos are located at the Caribbean entrance to famous Yalku Lagoon, in Akumal, Mexico. 'On The Edge', Yal Ku Cai, sits on the northern perimeter of spectacular Half Moon Bay. From the panoramic view, protected Half Moon Bay sits to the south, and the coastline of the Mexican Caribbean to the north, just where it opens to the inlet of Yalku Lagoon. From the patio you can listen to the breaking waves as you watch the sunrise over the eastern horizon! Yal Ku Cai's magic calls to mind the phrase 'on the edge', which the frequent visitors use often, as they say it is on the edge of paradise, the continent, the hemisphere; with the sea, as it has done for eons, crashing in at their feet.

Located at the quiet and mostly undisturbed end of Half Moon Bay, Yal Ku Cai is only a 3 minute walk to Yalku Lagoon or 1 minute to the sands of Half Moon Bay. Snorkeling in the Lagoon or Bay is some of the best in the Yucatan. A trip would not be complete without a swim, a refreshing drink and some shopping on Akumal Bay, an easy stop as you arrive in North Akumal. After visiting local arts and cultural shows, videos for the VCR, and a stereo will round out your vacation entertainment. Along with paradise, maid service is provided 6 days a week! Situated on the ground floor, Yal Ku Cai number 1 is a lovely 2 bedroom condo with both views of the Caribbean Sea and Half Moon Bay.

Yal Ku Cai- Condo1E (formerly #4)

This studio on the third (top) floor is perfect for a couple on the lookout for an escape from everything but each other. The expansive windows make it possible to wake up in the morning almost surrounded by Caribbean views from your king size bed in your air-conditioned bedroom. This studio comes well equipped with a kitchen area and breakfast bar, a living room with TV and DVD player, dining area, shower and a very sunny third floor terrace highlighted by new beautiful grand windows and complimented by large sliding glass doors for views and lovely breezes. The condo has been recently tiled and had a high speed internet connection installed. Studio visitors have the pleasure of being close to the roof top terrace, which has a stunning view if you are up for the climb to it. We like this studio for its spaciousness, views, comfort, tranquility and affordability.

Yal Ku Cai- Condo2 (formerly #1)

Yal Ku Cai is the perfect vacation rental for anyone who is looking for solitude and privacy. Because there is no sandy beach in front of the building itself, the human traffic in front of the building is absolutely minimal. This may be most important to those of you who prefer ground floor condos, like Yal Ku Cai Unit number 2. We suggest this ground floor condo for families with small children. This two bedroom condo can be rented for most times of the year as a one bedroom condo should you choose to leave the kids at home. The condo is gently cooled with air-conditioned bedrooms, and both the master bedroom and the second bedroom have king beds. As you will see by the posted photographs, both bedrooms have a view of the Caribbean. The porch has recently been extended so that guests can sit beneath either the sun or the shade. We like this condo for the bright and cheerful décor and its easy access to the pool.

Condo 2
2 bedrooms

• Located on the lower left corner of the building as you walk in from the swimming pool; no stairs to climb! Views of the sea and opening to Yal Ku Lagoon
• Ocean side terrace, half covered and half open with 4 chairs, 2 small tables, 2 lounges, and hammock; perfect for sunning in the morning and star-gazing at night!

Yal Ku Cai- Condo 3 (formerly #5)

Situated on the second floor, Yal Ku Cai number 3 offers some height on the view and space to accommodate up to 6 guests. Yal Ku Cai number 3, which is a two bedroom condo can be rented at most times of the year as a one bedroom condo as well. This spacious condo comes with a well equipped, air-conditioned kitchen, living room, dining area and air-conditioned bedrooms and a recently installed wireless internet connection. The deck chairs on the terrace will tempt you to sleep in that warm Mexican sunshine and an American style grill has been recently added for outdoor cooking. The window shutters between the master bedroom and the living room can be opened for maximum light and the kitchen breakfast bar is the perfect social cooking area with its bar stools and sea views. This condo is also equipped with a TV and DVD player and so you are welcome to bring along your own collection of DVD's from home in case of a rainy day. You may also bring your laptop as high speed wireless Internet is available to you in this condo. We like this condo for its homely feeling and its attention to detail. We predict that most visitors will become second time visitors within the year.

Condo 3
2 bedrooms

• Located on the 2nd level, right side of building; this condo offers height and panoramic views of the ocean from all parts of the condo

Yal Ku Cai #1E Studio

I was traveling on a very strict budget and Barbara referred me to Yal Ku Cai (E1). Thank you Thank you! I travel to get away from touristy places for R&R, and this place was just a slice of heaven sent to us. The water is a tennis ball throw from the balcony. The lagoon is a mere 3 min bike ride to snorkel with bright colored fish! ($9 entrance fee and worth every dime, I promise). Being able to watch the ocean waves at night while laying in bed....priceless. I recommend riding your bike into the town of Akumal about 3 miles away to purchase groceries, cigs, and liquor. Stop by Tequilaville and the owner will steer you in the right direction for anything you are looking for. Great food there too! Snorkel gear can be rented at the dive shop cheap and at the lagoon. snorkel, mask, and fins about $8/24 hrs. That beach is where you will find the sea turtles and I also saw a manta ray. The staff and neighbors were so helpful. The bikes were such a great added bonus! A blast really, and cheap transportation. Go, enjoy, and I promise you will begin to plan your return trip!

We have thoroughly enjoyed YalKuCai and are looking forward to March as well as our special trip there in December this year. What a special relationship we have!
