Located across the street from the Valladolid's strikinlgy beautiful main plaza, Hotel El Meson del Marques is the best hotel in Valladolid. The warm atmosphere of this XVII century colonial house and the comfort of the facilities combine to make our guest's stay in this historic hotel a memorable one. For comfort, the rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, minibar, private bathroom with shower, telephone and color cable TV. Superior rooms have a courtyard view, and the cultural sounds of the salsa music below will drift into the room to enhance your senses. There is an outdoor pool, with rooms around that too. The hotel offers off street parking for guests, or on street parking as well right in front of the entrance.

El Meson Hotel offers guests the best of Yucatan and International cuisine in the Hosteria del Marques Restaurante with dining surrounding the courtyard and it's picturesque fountain. There is a bar that serves both the restaurant and swimming pool. The hotel grounds are lush with tropical gardens. The hotel location is central to "Convent Route" churches, the weekly street market, the famous Valladolid cenote, and only a few minutes away from the famous Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza.

It is a most charming location to use a a base when exploring the nearby ruins such as El Balam, Ak, and Izamal. Just an hour away is Merida "The White City", known for it's French architecture, and a bit further adventurists will find Uxmal, the sister "feminine" ruins to masculine Chichen Itza.
