More InformationBlue Tang combines two new fabulous nestled two story, two bedroom townhouses on the Romero compound. The Romero's chose this parcel of land, known to be on the best real estate in Akumal because it is right at the point of Yalku Lagoon and the inlet to the breathtaking Caribbean Sea. Rent the entire building for a large family or two groups traveling together, which will enable travelers to decide when to do things together and when to have time alone, or rent one side for a getaway for a family or friends traveling together. This townhome limits is limited to adults due to the quality of the furnishings. Plan out a schedule or let events unfold. Blue Tang offers a variety of options with direct private access to the lagoon, and easy access to the ocean, nearby restaurants, and the many activities in and around Akumal. Sleep in comfort in a bedroom suite with large windows overlooking the lagoon. Located on the second floor, each bedroom has its own separate air conditioning and bathroom with sink, toilet and shower and a king size bed. Maximum occupancy is 4 for each townhouse or a total of 8 for the entire building. Rent the sister townhome on the compound (which allows children and sleeps 12) for a larger group, or, combine Casa Romero to really enhance your vacation stay. For very large families, the owner also has another premier home just to the south of the Romero compound, Casa Delfin, which can be combined to accommodate up to almost 40 people total. The ground floor for each townhouse contains a lovely living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry area. The spacious living rooms include comfortable furniture and patio doors looking over the spectacular lagoon. The flat screen TVs are attached to a satellite with a DVD/CD player and US content. Open WiFi Internet connection is available at no cost. The connected transition from the living room to the dining area creates an open floor plan. The generous dining areas include a table for six and again feature patio doors looking over famous Yalku Lagoon. With the fully equipped gourmet kitchens, guests can choose to fix meals, go out to any of the nearby area restaurants (some within walking distance), or hire the caretaker to prepare some special dinners to create special memories. Walk out a few steps from the patios directly to a private access to famous Yalku Lagoon. Put on some snorkeling gear, turn left towards the head of the lagoon and commune with parrotfish, angelfish, sergeant major fish, and many other exotic tropical fish. Turn right and swim towards the sea to spot a turtle or ray after the lagoon transitions to a sandy inlet. With essentially no waves, the lagoon is ideal for children and adults, offering magnificent snorkeling for both the novice and more experienced snorkelers. For something really special: go to the rooftop terrace to get a spectacular view of the lagoon, the ocean, and the surrounding jungle. Relax on the lounge chairs and "catch some golden rays", or sit in the covered seating area if to enjoy the view but stay out of the sun. Best of all, enjoy a dip in a heated rooftop pool overlooking the lagoon any time of the day or night. As the moon rises, turn off the lights, turn on the pool heater, relax, and let the stars shine down upon you. Finished in December of 2007, Blue Tang is fully air conditioned throughout and features large windows and glass doors looking onto the lagoon, rooftop pools and direct access to the lagoon. Blue Tang is reserved for adults, making it perfect for families with adult children or groups of friends traveling together. It contains two complete 2-story townhouses. The building has a maximum capacity of 8 and has four bedrooms, each with a king size bed. For smaller groups, you can rent just one side of the building and have your own space with fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area and two bedrooms. Blue Tang Angel is part of the "Romero Complex" which contains Casa Romero, French Angel, and Blue Tang. Built by a close associate of Pablo Bush Romero, the founder of Akumal, the Romero Complex occupies the best location in Akumal with direct access to Yal Ku Lagoon and great views of both the lagoon and the ocean. For large family groups, or several families traveling together, townhouses can be combined with Casa Romero which offers large areas for big groups: living room, kitchen, outdoor pool area, etc. We can accommodate up to 28 people on the complex (plus another 14 at Casa Delfin). Base rates are in US dollars per week for up to 6 people, per town house. Maximum 12 people for both townhouses. Rates do not include 14% tax. Single couple discount available for single couples using one room of a two-bedroom townhouse. Security deposit: Credit card (MC/VISA) "hold" authorization prior to arrival, to be released following your stay and routine inspection, barring any undue damages.Single Townhouse hold: $800 usd.
