Tropical gardens greet the La Bahia guest, providing a cool escape from the warmth of the Mayan sun. The garden breezeway frames a breathtaking view of the ocean from the beachside building. 
Situated on the sands of Half Moon Bay, the vista is enhanced with a hammock, a tall cool drink and the constant gentle breeze blowing in off the sea. La Bahia has a shade palapa on it's sand beach, and a BBQ grill in the courtyard at the base of the building. The protected bay is filled with coral formations and colorful fish, excellent for snorkeling, and diving. Just to the north of the condominium is Yalku Lagoon, a protected paradise for many tropical species. Nearby is Akumal Bay, where most amenities are available. Three wonderfully romantic restaurants on the Bay are within walking distance. (See Map) Half Moon Bay grants it's visitors the luxuries of a quaint Mexican resort, protecting them from the hustle of city life. Central to the many wonders of the Yucatan, Akumal is the perfect hidden paradise. Local treasures are to be found in every direction from the ruins of Tulum and Coba to the beaches of Xpu-Ha, Xel-Ha, Xcaret, Cozumel and the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
The living areas of the condos are large enough to invite new found friends for a drink and offer a spectacular view of the bay. A cup of Mayan coffee and the amber sunrise on the eastern horizon will entice an early awakening. Situated on the fringe of the jungle, song birds begin their day in harmony with sounds of gentle breaking waves.
All of La Bahia's condominiums are individually owned, making the decor of each unique and friendly. Mexican tile enhanced by Mayan woodwork is used throughout all of the eight units and also in the casitas. Most of the bedrooms, and all of the eight full kitchens have a view of the ocean. A cook can easily be hired to prepare an authentic Yucatan meal by making arrangements with the La Bahia administrator. The floorplans (a typical two bedroom is shown) are open and airy, allowing breeze from the Caribbean to refresh ones soul.
