This home is one of the most unique on the Riviera Maya coast. It's location is perfect, as it is just north of the ruins and city of Tulum and south of the resort of Akumal. This makes it somewhat secluded and remote from the hustle and bustle of the growing Yucatan. Stunning and dramatic, this villa has an open air floorplan. The palapa roofed, open air, 2 story, central living area offers a spectacular oceanfront view. One wall in the living area has a waterfall, which cascades into a stream that flows right into the outdoor oceanfront pool! The kitchen and dining area are on one side, ground level, with a private suite above. The other 2 of the private enclosed 3 suites are on the south side of the house.(The master suite is on the ground floor, with another suite is above it.) Each fabulous secure suite has it's own small kitchen, and the master has a jacuzzi tub. The caretakers live on the property. Just a few minutes walk away, enjoy the local flavors at nearby Casa Cenote, and the flora and fauna (both above and below the water) a Yucatan favorite, Tankah Cenote.

This stunning semi-secluded villa in quiet Tankah Beach near Soliman Bay. It has a dramatic and unique open air floor plan, with a center palapa roof, and a waterfall wall in the living area that flows into the stunning outdoor pool!

There are three adjoining private lockable air conditioned bedroom suites, all similar and very well appointed. The master has an ocean view jacuzzi, and all suites have ovean/beach views, TVs with VCRs, mini kitchens, refrigerators, ceiling fans, and hammocks on the individual terraces. Movies are provided, as well as CD boom boxes.

The spacious, Caribbean facing, fully equipped kitchen has a microwave and all the other appliances a guest will need. The architecture is awe inspriring. This villa comes with 2 kayaks and some snorkeling equipment. The caretakers, Michael and Laura, live on the grounds in the casita, and will be there to greet you.  Meal preparation can be arranged with the caretakers, or they can also be hired to do laundry. They clean the house and beach daily, and can be available for other requests the guests may have.

There is a large BBQ grill poolside for the guests to use. A cell phone is provided for the guests, it takes telephone cards that can be purchased at local business'. Enjoy the sound of the tranquil lapping waves on this semi-secluded snorkeling beach, the cool ocean breeze and beautiful Caribbean views from every room in the villa.

Tankah Cenote is nearby, (a natural limestone sinkhole) and is a fabulous place to swim and snorkel, or even see the regional flora and fauna from a new perspective. It is rumored that Manatee's have been seen in Tankah Cenote. Nearby in Tankah, there are some small restaurants, dive shops and hotels. Call for more information on this incredible property. There is nothing else in the area like Casa De Ensueno!

This beautiful villa is waiting to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment for you and your family or guests. Designed to accommodate large groups, Casa Delfín provides expansive common areas and five air conditioned private bedroom suites.

There are two bedrooms with a king size bed including the master suite on the top floor, one bedroom with a queen bed and two bedrooms with two double beds each. Each of the spacious bedrooms comes with its own air conditioning and its own bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. The three main bathrooms feature round bathtub/shower combinations.

The ground floor features a large living area and a wrap-around veranda that opens to the path leading directly to the lagoon where you will find a palapa for relaxing in the shade and private steps into the water. Put on your snorkeling gear and commune with parrot fish, angel fish, sergeant fish and many other exotic tropical fish. Swim towards the sea and you may spot a turtle or ray after the lagoon transitions to a sandy inlet.

Inside, a luxurious semicircular seating area calls for conversations and good times. There is also a large built-in bar with a refrigerated cooler for beer and drinks.

The second floor features a large living/eating area, kitchen and expansive veranda. The large screen TV is attached to a satellite with US content and a DVD/CD player. Free WiFi internet connection is available to you along with unlimited free phone calls to and from the US (VOIP phone). With the fully equipped kitchen, you can choose to fix your own meals, go out to any of the area restaurants or hire your caretaker, René, to fix you some special dinners you are sure to remember.

For a truly special treat, go to the top floor and lounge around in the spacious rooftop pool where you will have the most spectacular view of the lagoon and the surrounding area from any location in Akumal. It is almost impossible to contemplate how deliriously wonderful it is to stay in Casa Konomi. So quiet, so peaceful, so full of wonderful scents and melodic birdcalls. With all the niches and spaces, this lovely home still accommodates multiple guests with comfort and privacy. Enjoy a lazy morning read in the hammock outside the master bedroom, or share a cozy moment on the matrimonial hammock on the main veranda. If you are the type of person who needs to be busier than that, try an early morning dip in the pool surrounded by greenery and blossoming Bougainvillea. What ever your taste, this home is the kind of place where you will find yourself staying at the villa during the day rather than venturing out from your comfortable spot in your own personal paradise. This is Mexico yet it feels like home.

Casa Konomi is perfectly situated between Half Moon Bay and Yalku Lagoon. The walk to the sandy beach, or the lagoon, both prime for snorkeling, is under 3 minutes. The location gives guests the unique opportunity to be secluded, creating a private escape unlike any other rental home in the area. Every minute of the day is spent with the tranquil sound of breaking waves from the ocean waters surrounding the peninsula the home sits on.

There are three bedrooms in this villa. The floral style master bedroom Blue Lagoon and second bedroom Mapumalanga (the setting sun) with its safari theme are on the second floor. The third spacious garden bedroom Shangri-La (which can be rented alone as a bungalow in the low seasons) is on the main level. Every room has two entrances, one leading to a veranda, another to the inside of the villa. Casa Konomi has amazing attention to detail. From the monkeys carved into the building's decorative architecture, to the many stained glass windows featured throughout the house. The living room and dining room have been carefully thought out with no cost spared for aesthetic themes. The rooftop terrace offers amazing vistas of the sea, the jungle and the lagoon. Enjoy an evening filled with stars from this top floor retreat.

Everything needed for a perfect stay is on hand and the staff is at your service to help. Quite unusual to rental homes, there is a fully equipped laundry room with a washer, dryer and plenty of cleaning products. For a small additional fee and with some notice, the maid will gladly do laundry for guests, or the caretaker can arrange for a cook. Leave the bulky beach towels at home, Casa Konomi will provide as many beach towels as needed. The home is equipped with a safe for valuables. Every bedroom has air conditioning as well as fans. Each has a walk in closet. The bathrooms are large and spectacular. Rare to the area, bedrooms have soft carpeted floors. The spacious kitchen is equipped with two fridges, a state of the art stove, a full size microwave, a gourmet coffee machine and more. There is nothing this kitchen does not provide.

Four flat screen TV's give choices to guests, one in the living room and one in each bedroom. There are plenty of DVDs, CDs and VHS videos for your enjoyment, as well as DISH TV if all you want is the sound of music playing while you fall asleep beside the pool. Wireless Internet is available in Casa Konomi so please remember to bring your laptop should you need to keep in touch with family at home. All terrain bikes are on hand for those wishing to ride. For the less energetic, a golf cart has been provided for your stay. Please leave a $100 refundable deposit with the caretaker should you wish to use the golf cart for trips to the lagoon or to the grocery store.

There is nowhere else where you will feel the life being breathed back into you like at Casa Konomi. This is a place for rest and relaxation, a resort in itself, an oasis in paradise.

This fully re-modeled historic villa on Yalku Lagoon has a large yard and infinity pool leading down to the Caribbean's edge. It sits on one of the best lots in the Yucatan.

Each of the 3 air conditioned bedrooms have stunning views, with the master offering a breath taking view of the lagoon! The spacious master bedroom includes a huge pink marble bathroom with a jetted bathtub where you can look out to the lagoon!

Situated at the farthest point on the road in North Akumal, there is very little road traffic. Each morning greets its guest at Casa Romero with singing tropical birds and the solitude of the entire lagoon at your footsteps.

The architecture of this home is stunning. Enjoy a tall cold drink from the spacious living area, or the tropical breeze while swinging in the patio hammock next to the waterfront pool. Texture abounds; from the limestone exterior, the marble entry and baths, and the three flights of rich polished wood spiral steps or the new gourmet kitchen. The home is open, cool and wonderfully refreshing.

A separate area with satellite TV has been added for those guests who want to relax and watch a movie. Enjoy a short walk to nearby popular Half Moon Bay. Sit on the edge of Yalku Lagoon and feed the many colorful tropical fish. The lagoon is like a natural aquarium, and this house offers unlimited free access to swim in it at any time. Follow parrotfish, sea turtles and rays, as they swim in the inlet and around the coral reefs.

Read any book on Akumal and you will hear of Casa Romero, the first house built on the lagoon, built by a close associate of the founder of Akumal. Once you arrive, you will see why he picked this spot: the best in all Akumal, across from a white sand beach, with the inlet to the lagoon on the right and lagoon on the left, Casa Romero features direct access to the lagoon and the wonderful views of both the lagoon and the ocean.

Now totally restored and redecorated to maintain its grandeur, you will find three large bedroom suites and truly spacious common areas for maximum comfort and luxury. There is one large bedroom on the ground floor with a king-size bed. There are two bedrooms on the second floor: the master bedroom affords a spectacular view of the lagoon from the king-size bed and magnificent pink marble bathroom/dressing room. The third bedroom has both a queen-size bed and a double bed and also has its own outdoor patio. Each bedroom is fully air conditioned.

Gaze over the panoramic view of the lagoon from the main living room which features dramatic two-story high ceilings along the roof line and comfortable seating areas for different activities. The flat screen TV provides US content via satellite. Take advantage of the free Wi-Fi internet access to send photographs to make your friends jealous, and use the supplied VOIP telephone for free calls to and from the US. Walk through the large patio doors which open onto a covered marble terrace overlooking the lagoon and the outdoor pool.

Walk out a few steps from the patio directly to your private access to the lagoon. Put on your snorkeling gear, turn left towards the head of the lagoon and commune with parrot fish, angel fish, sergeant fish, and many other exotic tropical fish. Turn right and swim towards the sea and you may spot a turtle or ray after the lagoon transitions to a sandy inlet. With essentially no waves, the lagoon is ideal for children and adults, and offers magnificent snorkeling for both the novice and more experienced.

Back inside, past the powder room, the entry way, and the spiral stairway to the second floor, the dining room once again features a view of the lagoon and a custom built dining suite with table and chairs for 10. Beyond the dining room, the completely redone large kitchen features all new appliances including an ice maker with purified water, tile and marble tops, and all new cabinets. Fully equipped, any cook will feel at home and ready to go. (A microwave is also there for those of us who are cooking impaired.) With this kitchen and the fully stocked place settings, glasses, and serving dishes, you can choose to fix your own meals, go out to any of the area restaurants, or hire your caretaker to fix you some special dinners you are sure to remember.

A large infinity pool is placed strategically next to the ground floor patio so that the water of the pool seems to blend in with the lagoon.

Unique to all of Akumal, Casa Romero has a high observation tower with comfortable seating on the balcony which encircles the tower. With a spectacular view of the lagoon, the ocean, and the surrounding area, you are likely to find this cool breezy hideaway your location of choice throughout the day and evening. You can often spot turtles in the inlet to the lagoon from the tower balcony. A small refrigerator is provided for ice and to keep your drinks cold.

The beach side of the house has a delightful and private wrapped patio that will offer many relaxing hours to it's guests, as well as large beach palapa closer to the water.

Rich wood, terra cotta tiles, brightly painted walls and palapa touches create the Mexican flavor that so many favor. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a shuttered window wall that can open up to the main living area, as well as sliding glass doors to it's own private patio, which connects to the main patio. The views from every room of the house are breathtaking!

New updates to the kitchen and dining area make it more functional. The house has been refinished in many areas. The air conditioned casita, which sits behind the villa, can house two additional two people over the Villa's 6 guests.
