I just got back from Casa Konomi in Akumal. Yes, the property was drop dead gorgeous but the homeowner was awesome. They went out of their way to make this trip perfect for us. I've dealt with a lot of property owners in business and pleasure and I've never been treated better. Their staff were so kind and loving. We have visited Akumal many times, this is the first time we have stayed in Playa Blanca. We all loved Playa Blanca! The beach was just an extension of the condo. It was great to be able to walk right out the door and snorkel in Half Moon Bay. We read, napped and ate on the beach, relaxing either in the sun or shade. Playa Blanca #3 is light, bright and airy. Folding doors from the master bedroom open out to the living area and to the beach, such a beautiful and relaxing view. The kids had their own space at the back of the condo, so we all had plenty of room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have to admit, everyone used the wireless internet some, it was nice to be able to stay in touch with those back home. Well.... Nido De Amor was FABULOUS!!!!!! It was an amazing property. It was huge, clean, beautiful and soooo close to the ocean. The pool and the diving board were so much fun. Guille the caretaker added such a personal touch. She is kind and helpful. Ruth the maid and Abraham are such hard workers. We loved them. They kept the place spotless. He even raked our sand in front of our house. They treated us like royalty. You were very helpful with planning before trip. The grocery store in Playa Del Carmen is way bigger than Tulum's and not as expensive. Get regular milk in Akumal at little stores. It is about an hour and 15 min. drive from airport. The rental car service (EasyWayRentACar.com) you recommended was wonderful. I would use them again. So nice to us. We loved Lol Has and their pizza was delicious. We went to Yalku Lagoon and enjoyed it too. We took a trip to Tulum and ate at Zamas. It was right on the beach. Very fun. We went into Playa del Carmen one night and had such a fun night. 5th ave. was terrific. The snorkeling in front of the house was amazing. It was such a great vacation. I took about 400 pictures. I just couldn't capture all the beauty. Our pool was sooo much bigger than others around us. We felt sooo lucky. I would highly recommend this house to everyone..... I would go back in a heartbeat. Our family had a great week on our return trip to Casa Konomi this year. Believe it or not the weather was spectacular because some of us like the summer heat & humidity index.
