My family and I stayed in this unit for 7 nights for our 5 year wedding anniversary trip. From the beautiful views of the atlantic, to the breezes coming in from the open layout our stay was a retreat. The staff is amazing, the security guard will wake you up to watch turtle nesting/hatching and the property is very well taken care of. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come down.

Fantastic Family Vacation - Sun, Water and Fun! Casa de Ensueno is an ideal location for anyone who is looking for sun, water, and pure relaxation. The location is in close proximity to Tulum, a fun town with many restaurants, shops, and night life. Also, it has easy access to ruins, cenotes, and various places such as Xcaret, etc. Strongly suggest renting a car. The staff at Casa de Ensueno are tremendous. They keep a very clean place and are willing and able to assist in any way possible. We asked them to prepare dinner one evening, and the Pollo Pibil was absolutely fantastic; watching it being made was an experience as well. BTW - Their breakfast is very good. For a minimal fee per person, in addition to the food, they will prepare any meals you want. This was a very nice touch! As a coffee drinker, it was awesome having coffee ready and waiting each morning when I woke up. The snorkeling right in front of the house was good. Within walking distance along the beach is the entry to Cenote de Manati, where you can snorkel and check out caves where many tropical fish reside. Our son loved having easy access to this area, and there is a restaurant/bar right there, making it very convenient to have a quick bite and some beverages. If you have snorkeling gear...definitely pack it. Make sure to bring water shoes because the rocks and coral can really hurt you feet. If you are adventurous, in the town of Akumal there is a lady who sells fresh tamales and helotes. She sets up on the corner across from the police station. Truly a local experience. We are very inclined to return to Casa de Ensueno. Most likely will bring friends as there is plenty of room in the 2nd and 3rd rooms. Big thumbs-up for this vacation home!

Wonderful property. Just a few hiccups (sheets were not available for the pull out bed, nonflushing toilet, nonworking doorknob, burned out lights, reversed hot & cold water lines in the washer). Daytime staff were very friendly and responsive and fixed anything we reported immediately. Cleaning woman did a wonderful job each day. Half Moon Bay is amazing and uncrowded. So much more relaxing than Akumal Bay just to the south. We did not see turtles in Half Moon Bay but the snorkeling is amazing. You need to swim or kayak out to the reef somewhat distant but still shallow in this shallow and clear bay. The location is tranquil. Be advised it is about an 8 minute drive between the main road and the condo, because of very slow roads and potholes and speed bumps. So it adds a bit of time to your driving places. The main problem for us was that 3 of our 7 guests got ill with vomiting or diarrhea. We tried very hard to adhere to avoiding drinking the water but perhaps while brushing teeth? We did eat out once in Tulum but ate all bottled and cooked dishes. Not sure. Staff were very good about keeping our water tank full of drinkable mineralwater. Again this is a beautiful retreat that I highly recommend.

This apartment is a great size with a crazy wonderful balcony with sweeping views of half moon bay in Akumal. It's a little bit ticked back from any of the stores or restaurants "downtown" but there are a couple good places to eat nearby. The bed was comfy, the AC was cold, filtered water provided and maid service everyday- I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you Lisa! We had a wonderful time in your apartment- the view is just to die for and everything just went perfectly- thank you!

The condo has a very good layout with the living room up front transitioning to kitchen/dining in the middle with the bedrooms in the back. It is a good layout that maximizes space. The condo is wonderfully decorated. The view of the bay is fantastic. The condo is also well stocked with items that you will find helpful . . . check in before shopping. The staff on site is very pleasant and responsive. We thought we lost an item in the condo. They checked for us and even allowed us to check for ourselves a couple of days later since no one was in the unit. While the condo is in front of a sandy area of the bay, the beach is very rocky and you will want to have water shoes. Snorkeling was a miss for us on this trip as the water was too rough. Of course, the day that we dropped by to check for the lost item, the water was calm and we saw lots of people snorkeling. Hopefully your luck will be better than ours! Overall, the condo is an excellent choice if you want to stay on Half Moon Bay.
