Pluses: Perfect location, outstanding sea-view and privacy. Amazing quiet and isolated beach. Very nice room construction with through windows, you do not need air condition as soon as you have ocean breeze all the time through your room. Very clean - we had a daily service. Minuses: Noisy refrigerator and narrow bed for two persons. There are only two tasty restaurants for the whole beach, there is a crowd all the time there - book a table in advance! -Great advice for others to make restaurant reservations during the busy holiday weeks, fortunately though that is the only time of the year it is necessary. 5+ min walking to the north there are 2 more restaurants, and 15 min walk to the south there are lots of additional restaurants as well as shopping, galleries, a spa, boating, ice cream, taxis, markets and more. We'll check the fridge, thanks for the letting us know.

Wonderful vacation villa for large family Casa Zama provided our family of 11 a wonderful venue to be active and relax. Right on the water, fantastic view of Half Moon Bay, and within walking distance of all the needed amenities and activities. The staff was helpful and friendly, and kept the villa clean and useable, both inside and out. Location was quiet and laid back, not like the chaos in Akumal. Good snorkeling right out front and on Akumal Beach. Not much sandy beach on HMB, so water shoes needed on the rocks. Rocky shoreline provided great opportunities for exploring cracks and crevices for sea creatures---just turn over the small rocks to find amazing things. Only negative was that the pool was too cool to enjoy. Bicycles suggested for transportation, as Akumal is vehicle "unfriendly" in regard to traffic and parking. Even golf carts have problems navigating those 2 things. Wifi and TVs worked great. 6 bedrooms and baths were super comfortable; 2 kitchens and living areas provided plenty of room to stretch out. We enjoyed La Buena Vida, La Taverna, Turtle Bay Bakery and Cafı, Lucy's Ice Cream, Imeldas Ecocina, and the many shops within walking distance. Yal Ku Lagoon is only a short walk away, but not worth it for experienced snorkelers---good for kids and beginners. Overall I would recommend Casa Zama for larger groups. Last year we were at an AI near PDC, and we decided that both the villa and the resort have pros and cons. Much depends on the personalities and favorite activities of the group. We also hired Chef Daveed to prepare our group a real Mexican meal in our kitchen. It was fun and delicious and provided left-overs for days. One day we booked an all day tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico for a jungle ATV ride, ziplining, and swimming in an open cenote. Highly recommended; the kids had a blast. It was a fantastic week on the Riviera Maya, especially since the weather back home was icy, cold, and snowy.

This was my 4th stay at La Bahia and my second stay in # 8. The kitchen has had updates. New granite counters and new sink and new cabinets. Its on the 4th floor with a view of the whole bay from the deck. It has high speed internet and sky satellite tv. It has a safe and what looked like a 32 inch tv. There is also a new Queen pillow top mattress that is very comfortable. It is perfect for a couple or solo. It's an awesome value with Incredible views and it gets no better than this 1 bedroom condo. La Bahia staff are great and will help you with all your needs. The cleaning staff do an awesome job. Its walking distance to several restaurants and 2 small convenience stores.

Had an amazing stay. GREAT PRICE, Right on the Beach. The open lay out might not be for everyone in the master bedroom but works for close family and friends.

Condo is located in the best part of Akumal; away from hustle and bustle of central Akumal, but not too far out. Two great restaurants are within walking distance, La Lunita (elegant with a beach flavor) and La Buena Vida (more then a restaurant, it's an experience). Condo is part of a lovely complex situated right on the beautiful Half-Moon Bay. If you're into snorkeling this is the place!! Abundant coral heads are an easy swim right from the complex. Another way we enjoyed the bay was from the complex's swimming pool, great for chilling and basking in the beauty that surrounds you. We found the on-site staff to be very helpful and friendly. Condo is clean and tastefully decorated with local artwork and crafts; good kitchen set-up and is serviced daily (an awesome plus). Would we recommend? Absolutely!!! We're already planning to visit again next year!
