Casa Konomi

Villa Casa Konomi April 23rd-30th. I do not know where to even begin to tell you about the most amazing place in the Riviera Maya. As you know this is a 4 bedroom 4.5 bath villa. It is its own vacation resort in the heart of Akumal, MX. My wife, myself, my 16 year old daughter, and 15 year old son had a vacation of a lifetime. I can also promise you this will not be our last trip to Casa Konomi. The bedrooms are lavish, they are all well-appointed and decorated like a home of the rich and famous. We have stayed at vacation rentals all over the world and none even compare to Casa Konomi. Each bedroom is air conditioned, we only ran the air conditioners in the evening and they literally could freeze you out. The bathrooms look like an HGTV episode of bathroom renovations&they are simply something you have to see and experience. TVs with satellite TV are in every bedroom along with a DVD player which is nice to stay up on the world. The beds are perhaps the nicest we have slept on, including our own beds at home. My kids commented about how comfortable and wonderful the beds, and bedding were. The living area, downstairs, which includes the formal dining room, kitchen, living room, and laundry area. If I start in the laundry area (that has a bath in it) it is tiled which is great for those sandy feet youre going to have. We used the washer and dryer and they both were in great working order. The kitchen is beautiful with everything from 2 coffee makers, to purified water, to a huge refrigerator, to beautiful granite counters. Possibly the best part is that Sylvia cleans these areas for you EVERYDAY! The living room is huge with a very large flat screen TV. There is a huge double doors in the living room that open to the incredible outside part of this Villa. The breezes it brought in the house in the morning and evenings were to die for. The formal dining room looks like someone has staged a home for a million dollar mansion. The upper level (2nd level) has a walk out from the rooms to a veranda or wrap around porch. There is seating for a quiet cup of coffee, or an evening star gaze. It is something that I cannot describe in words it is breathtaking. The birds, the jungle, and the roar of the not so distant beach is amazing. The 3rd level was perhaps a favorite of my family. There is a huge living area up there to gaze at the stars every night. The cold tub which is a fully functional hot tub was the perfect end to perfect days. We were lucky enough to have a full moon while we were there and the images will be with me forever. There is lounge chairs, and really just a HUGE area. Then comes the outside living area of the villa. The pool was used every day in the morning, after a day at the beach, or as a mid-day break from the beach. The pool is large, beautiful, and immaculately kept by Lucio. There is a hammock, lounge chairs, 2 beautiful hammocks on a stand, and my favorite part a sitting ledge in the pool to sit and have a cold one of your choice. The flora in the outside area is breathtaking, beautiful trees, plants, and flowers. There is also a large charcoal grill if you are so inclined to use it. There is also a Tiki Dining Area right by the pool with a table, ceiling fan and everything for an outdoor dining experience. The golf cart was used every day by our family and was a favorite of our teenagers! Lucio, the groundskeeper was a wealth of information and helped us to plan every single day of our stay. He provided us Cenotes to go to, the ruins in Coba, the ruins in Tulum, and our favorite the semi-private beach of Xpu-Ha. He took as much pride in our having an enjoyable day as we did. Sylvia had salsa and guacamole waiting for us upon our arrival. Even though we chose to eat out every day, we were told by several locals that her cooking is to die for! The price of the villa was amazing, the staff was amazing, Caribbean Fantasy kept us in the loop on everything from arrival to departure! If there is a better place to stay in the Riviera Maya I would have to see it to believe it. We will be going back, and bringing our entire extended family next time

I'd like to give a HUGE shout-out of thanks to Lisa and her team at Caribbean Fantasy, Inc. THANKS EVERYONE! We are so incredibly grateful for your help and for going the extra mile for us. Everyone we dealt with was exceptional from the start, responding immediately to our initial inquiries, answering questions about the area, serving as an up-to-the minute resource, negotiating an acceptable price/package and giving us great, personalized service at every step of the way . . . even when we experienced a fairly sizeable hiccup in our plans. I will recommend Caribbean Fantasy, Inc. to friends and family and look forward to future vacations with their assistance.

Oceanfront Penthouse 2 Story In Akumal! Stunning! This is the place to stay if you're looking for a dream vacation rental. We fell completely in love with this rental. It has everything you need, including a great variety of restaurants featuring local Mexican cuisine. Snorkeling in Turtle Bay is a quick walk away (go early) as is deep sea fishing and SCUBA diving. The grounds are immaculate and the unit is super clean. The view is one of a kind. The veranda invites you out and makes it hard to leave. Everything was here. We loved our stay! Thank you so much!!!!! XOXO

Yal Ku Cai #1E Studio

Awesome view, spacious studio, great staff We loved this studio for our stay in Feb 2016. It was quite large and spacious and very well equipped with furniture and kitchen supplies. Even though it's a studio, there is a little bit of separation between living/sleeping and the openness allows for incredibly expansive views in several directions. The bed was large and very comfy, and we could watch gorgeous sunrises each day from bed through the window only a few feet away. The property is well-cared for and we found the two young men keeping the grounds/building and our maid to be wonderfully helpful and sweet. The manager visited us shortly after our arrival to welcome us, orient us, ensure everything was in order and give us his contact information. Very unusual for a VRBO and very welcome. We used the two bikes included in the rental every day, because we didn't have a car and this unit is furthest from the small commercial area of Akumal. We rode every day down the one cobblestone street in Akumal to reach the public beach, the stores in Akumal, and to cross the hwy to visit the puebla (the full town site). Akumal is a sweet place. There are lots of villas along the beach, but it is still quite quiet compared to bigger places. The condo is right beside the lagoon for fantastic snorkeling, and we had a lovely supper at Que Ondo restaurant a short walk from the condo. We also spent a lot of time at La Buena Vista - the fantastic beach bar a walk or short bike ride from the condo. Our only negatives would be that it was quite windy when there, and the location of the condo seems to be more windy than other parts of Akumal. We don't think it's always like that, but not sure. The other concern might be that there is no sandy beach in front of the condo. But if you are a beach nut, it's an easy to walk to the beach in front of La Buena Vista or the public beach. One other thing: the booking company, Caribbean Fantasy were great to deal with. I had worried about the validity of the company because of booking on the internet, and they helped me verify them, and were great to deal with. CF Note: We are delighted you loved this sunny spectacular studio in Akumal as much as we do! Akumal is known for the refreshing trade winds coming in off the ocean, and Feb and Mar are the windiest months of the year - a nice benefit is it is rare to have mosquitoes or other bugs thanks to the trade winds blowing in from the sea. We hope you will return time and time again - Yal Ku Cai 1E is one of of the top most requested units in Akumal by return guests! Enjoy your memories! Lisa Caribbean Fantasy, Inc.
